Enjoyed the photos very much. I thought the one with John C. and Arzelia Rose very interesting. Do you know how tall she was? Was John C. sitting in a chair? (It does not look as if he is, because of the position of his hands.) Great pictures. I love old photos even if they are not my family. Donna

Glad you enjoyed the photos. Actually we have more, but I didn't want to swamp the web admin with them all at once. Actually, John C. Barker was relatively short and Arzelia Rose was probably at the tall end for a female of the time, but not drastically so according to my mother who is 89. It appeast to me (but not to everyone) that John is reclining againts a table or porch rail while standing.
